REAL ESTATE AGENT EXTENDS INTERACTIVE REAL ESTATE MAP TO INCLUDE VANCOUVER, FRASER VALLEY LISTINGS
SECHELT, BC, CANADA — September 3, 2015 — Real estate agent Gary Little has today released a major update to his groundbreaking Sunshine Coast, British Columbia interactive real estate map. The map was first released in 2006 — the first of its kind in Canada — and has now been extended to include all residential MLS® listings provided by the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver and the Fraser Valley Real Estate Board. New areas covered are Sea-to-Sky Country, Metro Vancouver, and the Fraser Valley as far east as Abbotsford. Approximately 20,000 listings are managed. Two versions of the map are available, one for desktop computers (at map.GaryLittle.ca) and one for smartphones and tablets (at imap.GaryLittle.ca). The map supports a variety of advanced features beyond the usual ability to search by multiple criteria. For example, a handy tool is provided for measuring distances on the map; local news and weather is shown; and searches may be saved so that emails of new properties satisfying the criteria can be sent automatically. The software was created by Gary Little himself. He is well-known on the Sunshine Coast for the variety of interactive maps he has created over the years to promote tourism: maps showing the locations of totem poles, waterfalls, and art studios are recent examples. "Interest in my Sunshine Coast real estate map has been very strong over the years and I've often been asked to extend it to other areas, which I've now done," said Gary Little. "And, I've been able to do it without giving up the unique features that clients really like — particularly the ability to see property boundaries and to obtain current assessment information for most homes. I'm very pleased with the result."
